Know the moment someone files a trademark like yours.

TrademarkBell watches every new filing at the US Patent and Trademark Office and warns you while there's still time to act. Start with a free check of your brand name.

How it works

1. Tell us your name

Add the brand names you want protected and what you sell. Registered or not, we can watch it.

2. We scan every filing

Each week thousands of new trademarks are filed and published. We check every one for names that look, sound, or read like yours.

3. You get a clear alert

When something close turns up, you get a plain-English email: what was filed, why it's similar, and your exact deadline.

Why the timing matters

When the USPTO publishes a new trademark, anyone who thinks it conflicts with their brand has 30 days to object. Miss that window and the mark can register. Challenging it later usually means a much longer, more expensive cancellation fight, and sometimes losing your own name. Most small businesses never hear about the filing until it's too late.

Questions

Do I need a registered trademark to use this?

No. You can watch any name you use for your business. Whether you can stop a lookalike depends on your rights in the name, which a trademark attorney can advise on.

Where does the data come from?

Directly from the USPTO's official trademark data, updated daily.

Is this legal advice?

No. TrademarkBell is a monitoring service, not a law firm. We tell you what was filed and when the deadline is; if you want to act, talk to a trademark attorney.

How is this different from a law firm's watch service?

Law firms and big brand-protection companies typically charge hundreds of dollars a year per name. We focus on small businesses with plain-English alerts at a small-business price.

Does the free check mean my name is safe to use?

No search can promise that. The free check looks for similar live US trademarks, but it doesn't cover unregistered or state-level uses. For a new brand, a professional clearance search is worth it.
